Become a distinguished Woodrow Wilson Fellow

Combat critical math and science teacher shortages with your talents and skills. If you are a college senior, graduate or career changer with a math or science bachelor’s degree (from May 2010 or before), you could help transform math and science teaching at a high-need, urban school.

I looked at similar transition to teaching programs, which are often difficult for those wishing to change careers, due to cost and level of support. The Woodrow Wilson Fellowship offered the monetary support, mentorship, and hands-on experience that I needed to make the seamless transition to being a successful teacher.

Looking for an engaging, hands-on program? If so, UIndy is for you. From the beginning, you’ll be learning and working in local urban schools. Your courses will be project-based, meaning you’ll spend very little time listening to faculty lectures. With this real-world, experiential program, you’ll enter the teaching field with the skills and confidence you need.
