Are cultural differences impacting student achievement in your school? This workshop series focuses on raising participant awareness of cultural diversity and its impact on student achievement. During the workshop series participants will explore how stereotypes and generalities about certain populations impact classroom interactions and student learning, consider what it means to be different in their school/school system/community, appraise how to move beyond surface feasts and festivals as celebrations of diversity, and investigate where to find support for students and teachers.
