The purpose of this degree is to prepare students for entry-level employment in corporate fitness centers, health clubs, sports medicine clinics, cardiac rehabilitation programs, or other programs that require exercise prescription. This degree also serves as an excellent foundation for graduate studies in fields such as physical therapy, athletic training, occupational therapy, or medicine. The program is also designed to prepare students for professional certification examinations. Students are required to complete one-semester internship in an area of desired career interest.
