iLEAD Program Goals
Successful implementation of the iLEAD Program will produce candidates who will:
- Lead continuous improvement of student achievement;
- Use data and apply research knowledge to inform and improve school practices;
- Respond to a diverse and dynamically changing global community by acting as agents for transformational change;
- Support rigorous academic standards and instructional methods that motivate and engage students to go beyond competence to excellence;
- Facilitate the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a shared and coherent vision of learning that is consistent with the school’s overall mission and vision;
- Advocate, nurture, and sustain school culture and instructional programs conducive to student achievement and staff professional growth;
- Create and manage a system of support that enables all students to meet high standards and motivates faculty to have high expectations for all students;
- Foster an atmosphere that recognizes the unique dignity of each person;
- Ensure management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment;
- Collaborate with families and community members, respond to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilize community resources;
- Use technology for management of instructional purposes;
- Lead in an ethical manner with integrity and fairness; and
- Understand and use political, social, economic, legal, and cultural contexts of the total school community to promote student achievement
