iLEAD Program Goals

Successful implementation of the iLEAD Program will produce candidates who will:

  1. Lead continuous improvement of student achievement;
  2. Use data and apply research knowledge to inform and improve school practices;
  3. Respond to a diverse and dynamically changing global community by acting as agents for transformational change;
  4. Support rigorous academic standards and instructional methods that motivate and engage students to go beyond competence to excellence;
  5. Facilitate the development, articulation, implementation, and stewardship of a shared and coherent vision of learning that is consistent with the school’s overall mission and vision;
  6. Advocate, nurture, and sustain school culture and instructional programs conducive to student achievement and staff professional growth;
  7. Create and manage a system of support that enables all students to meet high standards and motivates faculty to have high expectations for all students;
  8. Foster an atmosphere that recognizes the unique dignity of each person;
  9. Ensure management of the organization, operations, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment;
  10. Collaborate with families and community members, respond to diverse community interests and needs, and mobilize community resources;
  11. Use technology for management of instructional purposes;
  12. Lead in an ethical manner with integrity and fairness; and
  13. Understand and use political, social, economic, legal, and cultural contexts of the total school community to promote student achievement
