The Principal in Residence, who is a current practicing principal, participates in the planning and teaching of each course required for principal licensure. Involving a currently practicing principal ensures that current issues and practices relevant to school administration are addressed. Additionally, the experience enhances and extends the professional growth of the participating school administrator.
Clinical faculty, who are experts in their respective duties, are invited to lead activities related to their area of expertise. Staff from the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) represents examples of clinical faculty used in the iLEAD Program. The staff at CELL and faculty of the School of Education share facilities and collaborate on initiatives to improve student learning increase leadership capacity throughout the State of Indiana.
Current or retired effective practicing school administrators serve as mentors to the candidates throughout their iLEAD experience.

Dr. John Somers, former classroom teacher and school administrator at the building and district level, serves as a primary iLEAD instructor and the Director of Graduate Programs for the School of Education.
