Welcome to the School of Education at the University of Indianapolis. You’re in the right place if you are considering one of these careers:
The School of Education is known for leading-edge programs and supportive, experienced faculty who have strong relationships with Central Indiana schools. Our teacher education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education while our athletic training education program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education.
UIndy students typically score above Indiana’s passing rates on the Praxis I test of basic skills and Praxis II subject-area exams. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are creating outstanding educational leaders.
School of Education faculty collaborate with UIndy’s Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning to identify and disseminate best practices in teaching and assessment.
Our athletic training program and our four kinesiology specialties, which lead to a degree in physical education, exercise science, community health education or sport management, benefit from partnerships with many different organizations. Indianapolis is known as the amateur sports capital of the nation, but also boasts professional football, baseball, basketball and hockey teams. This unique pairing of professional and amateur sports organizations allows our students to receive hands-on experience in a variety of environments during their educational journey.
