Message from the Deans

Welcome to the School of Education Website,

The School of Education includes a number of interesting and exciting academic programs as you'll see described in these links and pages. We are delighted that you are considering the teaching profession, athletic training, exercise science or sports administration. Perhaps you are a graduate student hoping to build on your existing instructional skills in our advanced programs for current teachers and/or prospective school principals.

In any case, we know that you will find the faculty committed to your success and your field experiences appropriate and engaging. Our graduates are consistently highly valued by their employers and we are proud of the positive feedback we continue to receive from the community.

The Teacher Education Programs have undergone a rigorous NCATE accreditation review and have passed with flying colors. Our sport sciences are recognized in the community as they prepare active engaged professionals, as you will see in the full website information.

The Center for Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) is also affiliated with the School of Education and continues to impact our teacher preparation as new models of schools are examined and fostered.

Please contact us, if you would like further information about the School of Education and our excellent programs.

Sincerely,

E. Lynne Weisenbach, Ed.D., Dean
